Xiaomi the world’s fifth largest Smartphone maker and developer in related consumer electronics have launched its new VR headset Mi VR Play 2 in China, to extend their services with their finest products in the most trending technology the virtual reality. The transposition of the Mi VR play has come up with a new softer fabric which is more comfortable in use and will be available in China starting April 19. The head mounted VR headset is quite affordable with a price tag of CNY99 (roughly Rs.900).
As per report from My Drivers, the new Xiaomi VR head set apart from being comfortable for better VR experience due to softer cloth – like fabric, the headset is also much lighter than its previous designs. The new VR headset has been designed with the focus to offer better comfort to the users so that they can have it for a longer period without any trouble. It has included some small holes across the headset for better air circulation around your face while you have the headset on. It also claims that inserting the phone into the headset is now easier. The best part about the new headset is that it is amazingly affordable for all those who want to experience VR without having to use cardboard options.
We have no information when Xiaomi will launch Mi VR Play 2 in outer countries. The predecessor Mi VR Play was launched in India for Rs. 999 a few months back. It had a ‘two-way zipper design’ that the company claims made it simple to insert and remove a Smartphone into the headset, while it also ensured that phone does not fall out of the headset.
It is also announced that Xiaomi is expected to release its upcoming Smartphone, the Mi6 and Mi6 Plus on 19 April. The Mi 6 is expected to be priced at CNY 2,199 (roughly Rs 20,000) for the 4GB RAM+64GB internal storage variant with the 128GB variant priced at CNY 2,599 (roughly Rs 24,000). While, the bigger Mi 6 Plus is expected to be priced at CNY 2,699 (roughly Rs 25,000) for the 6GB RAM+64GB internal storage variant while the 128GB model will be priced at CNY 3,699 (roughly Rs 34,000).
The specifications we know so far, that Mi6 is expected to feature a 5.1 inch display with full HD resolution will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat, a Snapdragon 835 Qualcomm chip with an Adreno 540 GPU, 4GB RAM and 6GB RAM along with 64GB and 128 GB internal storage options, expected to exhibit 12-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front snapper as well. Also, to sport a Quad HD 2k OLED display with dual curved edges and dual rear camera setup with flat display.
