Marvel Entertainment, a renowned American company having a giant studio in comics, animation and television units has already made their mark in movie industry, and now with the vision to set their footprints in video games with great VR experiences to be announced in the coming months, as said by Marvel Games Senior Vice President of games and innovation at Marvel, Jay Ong in a recent interview with Gamespot.
Ong said,” that soon some announcement is to be expected in VR,” “that’s something for which they are quite enthusiast about. They have a much excitement in store soon to arrive to drive their fans crazy. The things they are going to innovate will be absolutely amazing.”
The company has been working towards fabricating the latest VR technology in gaming towards the end of 2016, and discovered that the technology offers vast unbelievable opportunities that they are currently exploring. It has not been revealed that what would be the company’s VR project may be.
Ong added that, if we do something in VR, it would not be just for the novelty of it. It would be something that would define the platform, which defines the experience. They are expecting the upcoming Spider-Man game, which is being developed by Edge of Nowhere’s Insomniac Games, to be one of the best games on PlayStation 4, best games on PlayStation 4, is expected to be one of the best games on PS4 and Xbox One, and hoping that their efforts in VR will be the same.
Marvel Games is slowly but doing considerably good on their promise to provide with truly folk games. Telltale’s Guardians of the Galaxy has already been aired to a decent start while Insomniac is working on the Spider-Man PlayStation 4 exclusive.
